Join us for an evening of themed figure drawing and photography! These figure drawing sessions are perfect for all levels of artists and photographers looking to find, refine or stretch their artistic skills. The relationship between artist and model is a time-honored tradition that goes back to the Renaissance.

*Classes Temporarily Suspended Due to Covid*

Date: Held on First Thursdays of the Month at QXT’s in Newark NJ

Held on the Third Wednesday of the Month at Roxy & Dukes in Dunellen NJ

What to bring: Whatever is your artistic medium of choice! Markers, charcoal, camera, markers, pencil, watercolor, the possibilities are up to you!

Like facebook.com/sketchycharactersart to stay up to date with our upcoming classes in all locations!

Each session has a theme or thread to inspire both model and artist. Attendees can expect to be drawing many of the familiar Roxy & Dukes and QXT's personalities.

Artists of all forms are invited to draw, paint, sculpt and photograph during our sessions - model will be lit for all poses. Model’s will be lit using photography lights, and always open to attendee input!

All artists and photographers welcome! There are 2 huge reasons to go! 1st, drawing from life is the missing ingredient to being an artist (and you know it) 2nd, it is so encouraging/helpful/positive to create among other artists, and have each other to feed off of! If you’ve been missing something in your art creation, if you’re looking to learn something new or your looking for the right art vibe, this is the class for you!

Say it again for the people in the back, FIGURE DRAWING is What? FUNDAMENTAL.

All works were created during a Sketchy Characters Session, and titled by Performer. Sort pieces 'Name A-Z' to view artwork by dancer.
